Hembeck TCR covers
Just got the new Fred Hembeck book. I'm a longtime fan, already having all seven of the Fantaco HEMBECK mags, but there's still hundreds of pages of new stuff for me.
More on that later, but for now, Daniel Best posted a few of Hembeck's colour covers to THE COMIC READER, so I figured I'd post a few more (cover #188, backcover #197), both inked by Bill Anderson. I'm not sure if these appear in the new book or not.

Well that's given me two more TCR's to hunt down - great stuff!
There are a lot of great covers from that era of TCR. I got an almost complete run from #99 to the end a few years back, and in addition to the Hembeck there are a bunch by the likes of Jim Aparo, Don Newton, Dave Cockrum, Mike Mignola (before he was a pro), Aragones and many more. I've posted a handful before, I might post some more of them soon, maybe a list of all the cover artists.
