Tintin, his own worst enemy

There's no question that Tintin can hold his own in a fight...

But he's definitely not the most surefooted guy around, and seems to do more damage to himself than any of his enemies can manage.

Seriously, perfect deathtrap for Tintin? Just leave him alone with some sharp objects for a few hours.

Hello, I'm Lailany Magno of the Philippines.

Herge portrayed Tintin as a real human, not the fantasy superhero type who can't be hurt at anything. The photo clips you present to us are just simple proofs that cannot be denied: everything we say and do will boomerang against us.

Only a word can describe this(Besides Lailany Magno's excellent answer)FAIL
Anyway, that's what makes Tintin better(in my opinion)than the average hero. He IS his worst enemy, unfortunetely none of his adversties used this angaist him.

apart from the lamppost, all of these scenes come from the same tintin story. must've been a bad day for our young friend.. or perhaps herge was punishing him?

I think it's more fun that way. The self infliction is just bad luck and something to lighten up the mood or spark more drama. It's a comic and is suppose to entertain people. I think that's why the bad luck, a running gag? kinda like Snowy getting into trouble. Besides, Tintin doesn't hurt himself all the time. Sometimes it's caused by another person in the story.
