GUMBY #1
by Bob Burden, Rick Geary, & Steve Oliff
After decades, Gumby and Pokey return in an all-new, full-color series, written and drawn by the Eisner Award-winning team of Bob Burden and Rick Geary! In this first charming and surreal adventure, Gumby and his friends help some mistreated circus clowns escape, only to find out why the nasty buggers were restrained in the first place - after the wicked funsters go on a rampage! Also, the little green boy suffers his first twinge of a crush!

This made me pretty happy when I first heard of it. Burden's most successful foray as writer-only was the Gumby special he wrote back in the 1980s, and Geary's work is always fun, and I'm especially fond of his playing in Burden's playground in the old JUNIOR CARROT PATROL specials. So combining all that in an on-going regular comic, a regular dose of Geary in full colour, colour by Steve Oliff no less? I suppose I can get down with that.
